As you want it written, e.g. $50.

One concrete sentence, e.g. "a week of hot meals for 12 families".

Still to fill in: donor's first name, your organization, gift amount, date of gift, what the gift makes possible, your name, your title. They show as [brackets] until you do.

Subject

Thank you, [donor's first name]

Dear [donor's first name],

Thank you for your gift of [amount] to [your organization] on [date of gift]. It is your first, and we noticed.

Here is what it does: [what the gift makes possible]. That is not a figure of speech. It happens because you chose to give.

We will write now and then to show you what your support is doing. If you ever have a question, just reply to this letter; a real person reads every one.

With gratitude,

[your name] [your title] [your organization]

A thank-you letter is not a tax receipt. For gifts of $250 or more, send a receipt as well: the donation receipt generator makes one.

Givelayer emails every donor a thank you and their receipt automatically, on the free plan.
