# Givelayer > Givelayer gives a charity one place to be found, understood and supported: a giving page made from its official IRS or CRA record, a short link and QR code for sharing it offline, a donation bar for an existing website, and automated receipting. It is built for charities and nonprofits specifically rather than being a general payments tool a charity has to adapt. ## Key facts - Donor adds the optional tip: the charity pays NOTHING. The tip covers Givelayer's platform fee and the card processing both, and the charity receives 100% of the donation. - No tip: Givelayer's platform fee is 2%, and card processing is passed through at cost, charged by the payment processor rather than by Givelayer. The rate depends on the processor and on the organisation's eligibility: registered nonprofits commonly qualify for discounted pricing from around 2.2% + $0.30, against a standard rate of about 2.9% + $0.30. - Monthly fee: none. Setup fee: none. Contract or minimum: none. - Giving profile, short link and QR code: any charity, anywhere in the world. Free. - Accepting donations: United States only today. A donor in any country can give to a supported charity. - Short link domain: gvy.to - Tax receipts are issued by the charity as the legal donee.
